Jamaica News, February 8, 2018

St Andrew, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Collymore Charged: Police hunted Omar Best Collymore down and captured him in the far west parish of St Elizabeth which is about five hours in transportation from his St Andrew address. He was allegedly trying to flee Jamaica on a boat. Collymore was slapped with the double murder charge on Saturday.

The day before his arrest, his attorney spoke to a national radio station on his behalf stating that he was vomiting blood and not able to turn himself over to the police after police announced that he was a wanted man, and an arrest warrant was active for him.

Collymore was charged on Saturday night February 10, 2018, with the double murder of his wife and a taxi driver.

According to sources, police intelligence brought them to capture Omar Collymore in the parish of St Elizabeth, last Thursday, sometime after 2:00 am, where he was allegedly preparing to flee Jamaica by boat after he disappeared from the parish of St Andrew.

Collymore Charged: Omar Collymore is charged with the Murder of Mrs Simone Campbell-Collymore and taxi operator Winston Walters.

Reportedly Mrs Collymore who we understand was shot over 21 times died on the spot, along with her taxi driver, after four gunmen on motorbikes rode up to the taxi and sprayed it with gunfire of high powered weapons.

The incident took place on January 2, 2018, in the Red Hills community of St Andrew.

Allegedly Simone Campbell-Collymore had plans of leaving her husband before her demise. Sources say that she had just dropped off her two children to Collymore Best and left in a taxi, she was gunned down minutes later.

Collymore disregarded an agreement he supposedly made with the police to turn himself in.

Police also report that Omar Collymore who is a citizen of the US and Jamaica was arrested at the Kingston Airport, two days before his wife’s funeral. He was trying to leave the Island on a fake passport.

In his US life prior to moving to Jamaica, Omar Best Collymore’s girlfriend, Angela Aguiar was gunned down in a bizarre attack while the two were together. He collected $US 400,000 from her life insurance. He is allegedly the main beneficiary of a multi-billion dollar life insurance from Simone Campbell-Collymore, which he allegedly made steps to towards days after Simone’s murder.
