Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – $30 Million Cocaine Bust at Kingston Wharf: On Thursday, November 16, 2017, Narcotics Police Personnel working in collaboration with officers of the Contraband Enforcement Team (CET) attached to the Jamaica Customs, seized JA$30M worth of cocaine at one of the wharves in Kingston.

It is reported that during operations being conducted at the premises, at approximately 8:40 p.m. a refrigerated container was searched and 24 rectangular-shaped parcels were found to contain cocaine.

The Narcotics Police were called and the drug, with weight of 26.7 kilograms was secured by the police.

Investigations so far have revealed that the container arrived on the island earlier that same day from Suriname. No one has been arrested in relation to the find.

Investigations are being continued into the matter.
