Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: The police in Clarendon say they are presently still carrying out investigations surrounding a freak accident, which claimed the life of a 21-month-old baby girl in the parish on Thursday, September 27.
The infant, Naomi Douglas lost her life after being run over by a truck outside her home in Mason River District, Clarendon.
Reports by the Croft Hill Police are that about 9:55 a.m., the child was in the vicinity of her yard when she somehow got caught beneath a truck which was operating in the lane where she lived.
It is further reported that the driver heard the child crying and stopped the truck.
He jumped out and discovered the child underneath the vehicle. She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver was warned for prosecution.
