Clarendon Man Shot Dead, another Shot and Injured

Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: One man was shot and killed, and another shot and injured in the parish of Clarendon on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.

The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Nicoy Smith of a Bushy Park in Clarendon.  The other injured man has since been admitted to the May Pen hospital in serious condition.

Reports by the May Pen police are that about 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Smith had just left work and he and the other man was walking along a section of the May Pen main road.

Minutes later, they were approached by two men traveling on a motorcycle. The pillion traveling on the motorcycle jumped off, brandished a handgun and fired several shots hitting both men to their upper bodies.

The gunman escaped on the waiting motorcycle while the police were summoned and upon arrival, both victims were rushed to hospital where Smith was pronounced dead and the other man admitted in serious condition.
