Jamaica News, March 4, 2018 – Clarendon Fruit Vendor Murder
Clarendon, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – The police in Clarendon have reported that two persons who were shot and seriously injured on Friday night as gunmen shot and killed a fruit vendor are still both listed in critical condition at hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Kimu Cunningham, 33-year-old otherwise called ‘Grimes Pen’ or ‘Colonel.’
Cunningham was occupied as a fruit vendor of a McKinley Drive address, Falmouth Crossing also in Clarendon.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 10:00 p.m; on Friday, Cunningham was at his fruit stall, which he operates along Main Street, in the parish. Minutes later two men walked up to him and brandished handguns.
The men open fire hitting the victim all over his upper body – killing him instantly. The two other victims were standing in the vicinity and were also shot.
The gunmen then made their escape in the area, while the police were summoned.
Upon arrival the wounded fruit vendor was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
