Clarendon, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) — 2-Year-Old Child Found in Bush with Body: A small quiet farming community in the parish of Clarendon is rocked today by police reporting that the body of a woman was found in bushes this morning, with bullet wounds, and a small lying next to the body.
The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Notoya Ricketts.
Police report that residents raised an alarm at about 8 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, when the body of a woman was discovered, in the bushes, in the rural community of Alley, Clarendon with what appears to be bullet wounds.
Along with the dead Ricketts was her two-year-old daughter, who was found lying next to her body, unharmed.
The child and the mother were both taken to hospital where Rickets was declared dead and the child held for observation.
Reports are that Notoya Rickets was last seen alive on Monday morning, yesterday.
According to information received, this is the second murder in this family within the last two weeks. Ricketts’s mother was reportedly killed in the community two weeks ago.
