Chronic Law and Squash did not get to make their debut performance at Reggae Sumfest Concert night One.

The event came to an abrupt end, shortly after 8:00 this morning under orders from the security forces.

According to a senior police officer,  tensions were high backstage where the tents which accommodate the artistes are located.

According to the officer, that, along with several other issues, were among the reasons all artistes who were booked for the festival, did not get the opportunity to perform.

The senior officer said the show had gone way beyond the 6:00 am cut off time, and that the use of expletives by artistes influenced the decision to end the show at 8:27 am.

The show was terminated after St. Ann-based artiste Jahvilliani and his Wildside Government team had completed their performance.

Montego Bay and St. James is under a State of Public Emergency.

Interestingly, Spice used expletives in her performance without interference or sanctions.
