Jamaica news, January 4, 2018

Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Hanover’s First 2018 Murder Victim: The Sandy Bay police are now carrying out investigations surrounding the stabbing death of the first victim to be murdered in the parish since the start of the year,  at his home on Wednesday night, January 3, 2018.

Dead is 49-year-old Robert Winston Crooks, Chef of Haddington and employed to the DeCameron Resort.

Reports by the Sandy Bay police are that about 11:00 am on Wednesday, the brother of the deceased stated that he left him at home in Haddington and went to Montego Bay.

Upon his return about 10:00 pm on Wednesday night, he went inside the house and discovered Crooks lying face down in a pool of blood on the floor of the house.

He immediately alerted the Sandy Bay police and upon arrival, the investigators carried out an investigation and discovered that Crooks had multiple stab wounds to his upper body.

He was transported to the Noel Holmes hospital where he was pronounced dead.
