Chainsaw Attacker Arrested in St Thomas


Jamaica News, St Thomas: The police in the parish of St Thomas have confirmed that a woodcutter who reportedly attacked another with a power-saw on Tuesday morning of July 10th, was taken into police custody while the victim has been admitted to hospital in serious condition.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, an altercation developed between the accused and the victim at a section of Logwood district where they both reside.

Criminal Charges Laid Against Man Arrested in Connection with St Andrew Firearm Seizure

It is further reported that the man who is now in police custody, accused the other man of stealing lumber from him.  He armed himself with a power-saw which he used to inflict a serious wound to the stomach of the victim.

The wounded man was transported to hospital followed by which the police took the accused into custody.
