Montego Bay, St. James (McN) – A man was shot to death on Thursday afternoon after a group of gunmen shot up a shop in Catherine Hall in Montego Bay St James.
The victim has been identified as Jevaugn Maxwell otherwise called (Jughead) 21-year-old unemployed of Catherine Hall.
Reports by the Freeport police are that about 6:30 pm on Thursday, Maxwell and a group of men were sitting outside a shop in Catherine Hall community when a motor car drove up with three men on board.
Two of the men alighted from the vehicle and open fire on the crowd.
During the shooting Maxwell was shot several times and killed on the spot.
No one else was injured and the gunmen escaped in the waiting motor car.
The victim was later pronounced dead at hospital and he body removed to the morgue.
