Crime: Canadian Man Booked for Court on Cocaine Charges

Latest Jamaica News, St James: A Canadian man is booked to attend the St James Parish Court on Wednesday, December 18, to answer to several charges after he was arrested and charged by the Narcotics Police on Sunday, December 8, for illegal possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and taking steps to export cocaine valuing $1.5 million dollars.

He is identified as 61-year-old Fredrick Williams, a tiler of Mississauga, Canada.

Williams was arrested at the Sangster International Airport as he attempted to board a flight destined for Toronto, Canada and taken into custody by the local police.

According to reports, during security screening, he was acting suspiciously when he was approached by officers.

He was transported to the hospital, where x-ray scans showed anomalies, he later expelled 142 homemade capsules containing cocaine.

He was arrested and later charged.
