Jamaica News, March 2, 2018 – Cocaine Found in Frozen Ackees and Peas

Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – 25-yr-old Tharshan Kathiadel, a Canadian of Scarborough, Canada has been charged with breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act after he was reportedly found with cocaine at the Norman Manley International Airport.

Reports are that at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday (February 28, 2018) afternoon, Mr. Kathiadel arrived at the airport to board a flight to Canada. However, his baggage was checked by members of the Narcotics Division and 3½ pounds of cocaine was found among two packages of frozen ackees and peas.

Mr. Kathiadel is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Criminal Court on March 9.
