Jamaica Crime News, St Mary: A 59-year-old businessman was shot and killed, while his wife was shot and injured by two armed robbers, who ambushed them at their home in St Mary, on Thursday, November 15.

The deceased has been identified as Marlon Hamilton of Dover District also in St Mary.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Thursday night, Hamilton and his wife were returning home when they were pounced upon by two armed men who were lying in wait in their yard.

The gunmen proceeded to rob the couple of cash and valuables, before opening fire on them both.

The couple received multiple gunshot wounds to their upper bodies and were assisted to hospital by residents in their community.

Upon arrival, Hamilton was pronounced dead and his wife admitted in serious but stable condition.
