Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: A 58-year-old businessman/contractor and political activist was shot and killed while overseeing a road work in the parish of Clarendon on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as, Keith Osbourne, otherwise called “Smoker” of a Paisley address also in Clarendon.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, Osbourne was overseeing a stretch of road work which was taking place along a section of the Paisley main road just outside May Pen.
It is further reported that, a group of men travelling in a Nissan Tida motor car drove up, the men brandished handguns and opened fire hitting Osbourne all over his body. The gunmen then sped away.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded contract was transported to the May Pen hospital where he was pronounced dead.
