Bus Operator Shot and Injured in West Kingston

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: A man who has been identified so far as a bus operator was admitted to hospital in critical condition on Thursday evening, May 24, following an incident where he was shot in the regions of his face by armed men travelling in a motor car in West Kingston.

Reports are that about 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, the man was standing among other persons in close proximity to the bus Park and the Police Station along Darling Street, when a light-colored motor car with several men on board drove up. On reaching in close proximity to the victim, the men brandished handguns and opened fire hitting him in the regions of his face.The gunmen then made their escape in the said motor vehicle.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to hospital where he was admitted.

In the meanwhile, the police have indicated that they believe that this latest gun attack has stemmed from the ongoing gang warfare between men from Denham Town and Tivoli Gardens.
