Latest Jamaica News, St James (McKoy’s News): A St James man was arrested and charged with wounding with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, following an incident which occurred in Rose Heights in St James, on Monday February 24.
He has been identified as 31-year-old Raymond Campbell, otherwise called “Bur” labourer of Sean Crescent, in Rose Heights.
Reports are that about 9:30 a.m., a man was sitting at a shop when Campbell approached and asked him to leave the location.
Campbell then brandished a handgun and opened fire hitting the complainant, who ran and was assisted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was treated and admitted.
Following an investigation Campbell was taken into custody on Tuesday, March 10 and then slapped with the charges.
