The Green Island police in Hanover, have commenced an investigation surrounding the death of a man who was shot and killed in Salt Spring community, in Green Island.
He has been identified as 24-year-old Akeem Williams, otherwise called ‘Bud’, also of Salt Spring.
Reports by the police are that about 3:15 pm, Williams was sitting on a chair outside his gate, when a group of men traveling in a Toyota motor car, drove up to him and open fire.
Williams received multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to the Noel Holmes Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The police were also summoned to the location and upon arrival, the scene was processed, and an investigation launched into the shooting.
