Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: Detectives attached to the St Andrew North Police Division have now confirmed that, a man and his sister who were taken into custody, in connection with the murder of a mother and her two children at their home in Tower Hill, St Andrew, on Wednesday morning of July 18th, have now been each charged with triple murder.
They have been identified as, Javone Leslie, 26-year-old construction worker and his sister 27-year-old Jamelia Leslie, Lab Technician Quality Control Supervisor, and both of Guava Ridge in Mavis Bank.
The Leslie siblings have both been charged with three counts of murder, burglary and arson. They are both booked to appear in the St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, August 2.
The police further stated that based on evidence gathered so far, Leslie is likely to be behind the death of the mother of two and the sister acted as his crony.
The two have been charged with the murders of 29-year-old Kashief Jackson and her two children, her 1-year-old son, Avier Williams and 7-day-old daughter Aranza Williams, all of Tower Hill.
Reports by the Mavis Bank police are that Jackson resided with her child’s father at a house in Tower Hill. Seeing that she just had a baby girl, the father who works out made several telephone calls to her cell phone on Tuesday night which went unanswered.
He got very worried and telephoned a friend and asked him to go and check on her for him. About 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the friend went to the house and called Jackson, but all his calls went unanswered.
He then went closer to the house and discovered both children lying motionless on the verandah of the house.
He noticed that the front door of the house was opened and upon looking inside, he discovered Jackson’s body. The woman was lying in a pool of blood, on the floor of the room with multiple stab wounds to her upper body.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, they processed the scene. The three victims were all transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
In the meanwhile, neighbours of the deceased woman told the police that they last saw her alive on Tuesday afternoon.
Jackson is also believed to have been locked in a love triangle with the accused man and this may have contributed to her being killed.
