A British national who was caught with a portion of ganja at the Sangster’s International Airport in, Montego Bay, St James, on Saturday afternoon, December 15th, was charged with Breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
He has been identified as Ainsley Bernard, 55-year-old, truck driver of Birmingham in England.
Reports by the Narcotics Police are that about 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, Bernard was in the process of boarding a flight destined for Manchester, England.
On reaching the security checkpoint, his luggage was searched, and found to contain ganja weighing approximately one pound.
Bernard was taken into custody and charged with Possession of ganja, Dealing in ganja and attempting to export ganja.
He is booked to appear in the St James Parish Court on Friday, December 21st.
