Jamaica Crime News, Montego Bay: A 57-year-old nurse-aid who was caught attempting to export over 8-pounds of cocaine at the Sangster’s International Airport in Montego Bay, last Thursday February 14, is booked to appear in the St James Parish Court tomorow, Wednesday February 20,
The accused has been identified as Marjolyn Gayle, of a Nottingham address in England.
Reports by the police are that about 6:00 p.m., last Thursday, Gayle checked in at the airport and was in the process of boarding a flight destined to London, England, when white powdery substance resembling cocaine was detected in her luggage.
The police were called in and following a search of her entire luggage 6-packages were found, and each containing white powdery substance resembling cocaine.
Gayle was taken into custody and she acquired the services of a lawyer. She was later questioned in the presence of her lawyer and then charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and attempting to export cocaine.
