British National Caught With Ganja at Airport in Montego Bay to Face Court This Thursday

Jamaica News, Montego Bay: A male British National who was arrested and charged in connection with Breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act by Detectives attached to the Border Security at the Donald Sangster’s International Airport in Montego Bay, is set to face the St James Parish Court on Thursday, June 21, 2018.

The accused man, Ian Mowbray, of Birmingham in England was charged with Possession of, Dealing in and Attempting to Export Ganja.

Reports are that about 2:20 p.m., Mowbray was about to board a flight from the Donald Sangster’s International Airport in Montego Bay destined for Brussels, when a canine dog detected irregularities in his luggage.

Mowbray luggage was searched and found to contain a false compartment. A further search led to the seizure of a package of ganja weighing eight ounces.  The accused was arrested and subsequently charged.
