St. James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- BREAD VENDOR MURDERED IN MONTEGO BAY: The Barnett Street police have reported that they believe that robbery was the motive behind the shooting death of a popular bread vendor was shot and killed by gunmen outside his gate in downtown Montego Bay, St. James on Thursdaymorning.
He has been identified as Marlon Gayle otherwise called ‘Andrew’ 38 years old of Catherine Lane also in Montego Bay.
Reports by the Barnett Lane police are that. Gayle who sells bread throughout the day along Barnett Street had just finish working about 1:45 am and was walking home.
He reached his gate along Catherine Lane and was in the process of opening the gate when he was ambushed by unknown assailants who shot him to death and robbed him of an undetermined sum of cash.

The victim’s baby mother and children were in the house and upon hearing the loud explosions in the yard they look through a window and saw Gayle lying in a pool of blood in the yard.

The Barnett Street police were summoned and upon arrival the victim was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Gayle is a very popular Bread Vendor who has been operating along Barnett Street in Montego Bay for years. He was also the breadwinner for his family and the father of four children the oldest been not more than 13 years old.
