Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Sections of Tower Street and Kings Street in downtown Kingston, were forced to be cordoned off on Monday, following the report of a bomb threat at the Supreme Court building in downtown Kingston.

Reports by the police are that about 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning,  the authorities received a unanimous phone call,  informing them of a bomb being planted on the building.

The police did not waste anytime, as the building was totally evacuated and proceedings at the court suspended.

The Fire Department and Bomb squad were called in and several searches were carried out.

This is the third such incident of a bomb threat on our court system within a month.

Only recently, there was a reported case at the Half Way Criminal Court,  then shortly after one was also reported at the Trelawny Parish Court and now the Supreme Court.
