Bogue, St. James (Mckoy’s News)Bogue Unity Football Match: Councillor for the Spring Gardens Division, Dwight Crawford more popularly called Debo, kicked off the Bogue Unity football competition on Sunday, September 3, 2017, at the Bogue Community Centre in St James. Three matches were played and the results saw Striking Force defeating Isis 4-1, Hurricane and Bogue drew 0-0 and Corner Stone stopped One Touch by 1-0. Sponsor for the competition Dwight Crawford met some of the team members and did a kick off with them. He wants to use this competition to reunite the community and hope to have night matches so that the citizens can have somewhere to enjoy themselves on a Sunday evening. The councillor is also looking at the possibility of forming a community netball team in the very near future.

Twelve teams are down to compete for cash prizes and trophies along with other incentives. He hopes the competition will run freely without any infringements. ‘I want the people to enjoy themselves on a Sunday evening, I will continue to sponsor this league as long as the people unite in peace and harmony’, said the Councillor.
