Body of Technician Found Locked Inside his Business Place

Detectives attached to the St James Police Division are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose decomposed body was discovered locked inside his shop, along Church Hill Avenue, in the vicinity of the Charles Gordon Market, in Montego Bay, on Friday, November 8.
The deceased has been identified 54-year-old Desmond Carty, otherwise called ” Little Dean” technician of a Hanover address.
Reports by the Barnett Street police are that on Friday morning, commuters in the vicinity of the market smell a foul smell coming from a section of the plaza, and carried out investigations.
They look through the window of a shop operated by Carty and saw his decomposed body, which was lying on a bed inside the shop which was bolted shut.
The police were summoned, and it took investigators several hours to gain access to the shop. Carty’s body was later removed from the scene and transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
