Body of Female Found in Yallahs Pond

Jamaica Crime News, St Thomas: The Yallahs Police are now carrying out investigations surrounding the death of a woman, who was discovered floating in the Yallahs Pond on Monday,  November 19, with a section of her head bashed in.

Dead is 59-year-old Melona Drisdale, otherwise called “Apple” of Pondside district, also in Yallahs.

Reports by the Yallahs Police are that about 7:00 a.m. on Monday, residents in the area stumbled upon the female’s body floating in the Pond and made an alarm.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, the body was fished from the water.

Closer observation revealed that Drisdale had a section of her head back bashed in.  The scene was processed and the body was later removed to the morgue.
