Latest Jamaica News, St Thomas: The body of 12-year-old Oshane Crawford, who drowned at a section of Diamond Beach, in Lyssons, St Thomas, on Saturday, July 7, has now been found.

The body was fished from the water following a lengthy search by JDF Coast Guards and community members.

Reports by the St Thomas police are that about 6:00 p.m., on Saturday, Oshane and three other boys from the community went swimming, at a section of the Diamond beach.

While in the water, all four boys met into difficulties and an alarm was raised.

Several community members rushed to help them and managed to rescue three of the boys, but Oshane was pulled under the water before help could reach him.

A report was made and a search carried out for him. The search was called off due to rough sea, but the police have now confirmed that the body has been recovered.
