Jamaica News, March 30, 2018 – Elderly Taxi Operator Slain
With the State of Emergency still on in the parish of St James,  gunmen still continue to create terror and mayhem within the communities and the murder toll still continues to trickle over.
The latest victim to fall prey to gunmen has been identified as Enos Clarke, otherwise called “Stitch” 68-year-old taxi operator of Westgate Hills.
Clarke was shot and killed by armed men in the Westgreen area of Montego Bay on Good Friday afternoon, March 30.
Reports by the Freeport police are that,  shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Friday,  the elderly taxi operator who plies the downtown Montego Bay route to  Westgreen and Catherine Hall,  was transporting passengers to the Westgreen community when he was attacked by armed men.
He was shot several times by his attackers while still in his Toyota Caldina motor car and he lost control of the vehicle which crashed on an open lot, immediately behind the Westgreen Church.
The police were alerted and upon arrival, Clarke was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigators also theorized that the taxi operator was robbed by his attackers.
