Blacks Charged with Stabbing Death of Barber in Montego Bay

Jamaica Crime News, Montego Bay: Detectives attached to the Freeport CIB Department in Montego Bay, St James, have confirmed that criminal charges have now been laid against a man, who was recently taken into custody as the prime suspect in connection with the stabbing death of a barber in the innercity area on Wednesday morning, June 6, 2018.

So far the investigators have released the accused man name only as “Blacks” who resides at Hart Street. Blacks has been charged with the murder of Opal Orando Anglin a 30-year-old barber also of Hart Street.

Reports by the police are that, shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Anglin who is fondly known as “Index” resides along Hart Street in Montego Bay, St James, the said compound where his barbershop is located. It is further reported that, Anglin was standing in the vicinity of his shop when he noticed the man known as Blacks who was lighting a fire next to the building.

Both men got involved in an argument during what time Blacks brandished a knife which he used to stab Anglin several times to the regions of his upper body

Blacks then fled the scene, followed by which residents in the area alerted the police and upon arrival, Anglin was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
