Jamaica News, Montego Bay: Construction work on the $1.3 billion “State of the Art” closed harbor beach park development project, in Montego Bay, St James, is scheduled to commence early this week, between May 6, to May 10.
The announcement for the construction was made by the mayor of Montego bay Councillor Homer Davis, during the St James Municipal Corporation inaugural staging of “Your Mayor Speaks” interaction programme held at the Montego Bay Cultural Centre, in Sam Sharpe Square, Montego Bay, St James on the weekend.
Mayor Davis in his statement made public that, when the billion-dollar park project is completed it will benefit visitors and locals alike.
Work on the “state of the art” multi-purpose park which is located at the Dump-up Beach property, along Howard Cooke Boulevard was slated to commence this April, following the groundbreaking exercise by Prime Minister Andrew Holness in the month of February.
