Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: The Little London police in the parish of Westmoreland have now commenced a probe, surrounding the shooting death of a bike taxi operator in the parish on Thursday afternoon, August 30.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Leroy Satahoo, otherwise called “Kenroy or Career” of Little London.
Reports by the police are that about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Satahoo and a female companion were travelling on board his motorcycle along a section of the Little London main road.
On reaching a section of the roadway, a motor car with several men on board pulled up beside them. Two men who were travelling as passengers in the vehicle brandished handguns and opened fire hitting Satahoo to his upper body.
The motorcycle crashed unto the roadway but the female escaped with minor injuries. The police were summoned and upon arrival, Satahoo was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
