Beauty and Beyond – Licensed, Certified and Proven!

Montego Bay Business News: Beauty and Beyond – Licensed, Certified and Proven – “Dear Diary, Today I want” might just have been how upcoming and growing salon owner decided to start her business. Shaday Plummer, Make-Up Artist and Hairstylist, has been the owner of her own salon a little over a year, Dare Diary Studio- Beauty and Cosmetics.

Having such passion and drive is what has built her name and legacy since inception. Being in the business for three plus years, her practice started at her Mom’s Salon. Where, in her two years of college after school, she would assist her part-time by completing a few gigs alongside her and by herself. Her few practices, however, turned out to be more than just a craft to become a skill and now her full-time job.

She would often time, be urged to start a business of her own but the fear of what could happen held her back for a while. Until in February of 2017 she was determined to start her own salon. Thinking it would be complete in a 3 month period, things took a while to manifest. “Good things take time,” she added, as the business was completely in order by December of 2017. Though her own business was prolonged, her certification was not. In no time, Shaday was able to complete licensing and certification for her business, as she possesses great skills and determination. She is now, a certified Hairstylist by Heart College of Beauty Services of Jamaica. She went the extra mile, as she also completed Makeup certification by, Angel Cumberbatch and addition hairstyling certification by, Alonzo Arnold, an American Top Stylist, in Trinidad and Tobago.

‘Independent Gyal…Real Number One, Trending Gyal,” as Shenseea Song says, is exactly the current status of DareDiary Shaday’s Business. She specializes in makeup and hairstyling for any occasion -weddings, graduations, birthdays or just a regular day slay. Her most popular service offered is Lace Application for Frontals,  Sewin and Wigs. “Person comes to Dare Diary to get their Bomb Lace Slay,” Shaday remarked. In proving this, are some priceless reviews shared;

“What Lace? Where’s the Lace? Please find it – Not even Columbus Can!”

  • A Friend

“Facebeat on Point!”

  • A Customer

“She will Slay your Hair and Beat your Face!”

  • La Lace Slayer

“I’ve been SLAYED by a Top SLAYER- Thanks to Shaday”

  • A Customer

“She burrowed God’s hands, as that hair is Slayed!”

  • A Guy

Her audience has grown and she thanks the help of God, her school friends, customers and all who have shared there reviews and ratings for the tremendous works she has been doing and is yet to do.

In spreading her wigs, she has not forgotten the hands who helped her to get there. Her shop location, (Across from Top Mart, Barnett Street), is directly above her mom’s, as her hair care customers are sent to her. She has also done collaboration and partnered with others in the game of hair and make up such as  Glamorous Virgin Hair, Kissed by Glitter Cosmetics, Your True Shade, La Lace Slayer, A-Class Hair Collection and many others.
