St James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Barrett Town Shooting: Gunmen struck again in the parish of St James on Wednesday (November 29, 2017) night, this time shooting one man to death and shot and injuring another one following a shooting incident which occurred at a shop in the area.

Dead is 48-yr-old Paul Smith, mason of Vietnam also in Barrett Town. A 34-yr-old fisherman who was also shot and injured during the incident has since been admitted to hospital in serious but stable condition.

Reports by the Freeport police are that shortly after 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Smith and another man was sitting outside a shop at Vietnam in Barrett Town when a lone gunman crept up and opened fire on both men. The gunman then made his escape in the area on foot.

The Barrett Town police were summoned and on arrival, both victims were transported to the Falmouth Hospital where Smith was pronounced dead and the other victim admitted in serious condition.
