Manchester, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Manchester Municipal Corporation Fraud: as the investigation continues into the fraud at the Manchester Municipal Corporation, another person has been charged by MOCA (Major Organized Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency).
43-yr-old Bank Teller, Radcliffe McLean of Porus, Manchester was charged on Monday with conspiracy to defraud.
McLean joins 31-year-old Sanja Elliott, Deputy Superintendent of Road and Works for the Manchester Parish Council, 27-year-old Carpenter Dwayne Sibblies, Temporary Works Overseer Kendale Roberts and Businessman David Harris on charges of breaching the Larceny Act.
According to MOCA, their investigations revealed that during the period of January 1, 2014, to June 24, 2016, Mr. McLean conspired with Messrs Elliott and Sibblies to process fraudulent cheques drawn on the account of the Manchester Municipal Corporation.
Mr McLean’s co-accused were all arrested and charged between 2016 and last year and all five (5) men are to appear in the Manchester Parish Court on Wednesday.
They are accused of using their positions to misappropriate funds from the Municipal Corporation for their own use.
