Jamaica Crime News, St James: Bail was extended for one of the females who attacked Mckoys News reporter Alan Lewin on June 1.
Shanakay Robinson who is one of three females who attacked Alan Lewin on June 1, had her bail extended on Wednesday, August 29, when she appeared in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate to answer to charges of unlawful wounding, she pleaded not guilty.
Two more females who were involved in the attack are still being sought in connection with the incident.
It is alleged that on the night of June 1, 2018, Lewin was having a meal at the Island Grill Restaurant at Centre Point in Montego Bay, when he got a phone call from one of the females who he knew for several years, the female told him that he wanted to talk to him.
Upon arriving in the vicinity of the Montego Bay Courthouse to meet with the female, Lewin was accused of kidnapping her sister.
At this point, the females began to stab him in his head, back, side and hand. Luckily, he was rescued by a passerby.
Lewin was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he went under emergency surgery and was later transported to the Falmouth Hospital where he spent five days suffering from internal bleeding.
Shanakay was picked up along St James Street and arrested, she was granted station bail. She is to return to court on Monday, October 8.
