Kingston, Jamaica (McN) — Police Investigators are treating death of South African born “Jamaican” veteran journalist Peter Abrahams as murder, following his postmortem examination results.
Pathology reports on the Body of Peter Abrahams confirmed his death to be as a cause of deliberately inflicted injuries.
Abrahams, 97-years-old was a South African journalist and author, that was sent to Jamaica by the British government to write a book on Jamaica, he fell in love with Jamaica and left England to live in Jamaica.
Peter Abrahams made Jamaica his home in the 1950s and continued his journalism career, he is noted for his commentaries on politics.
He was found dead at his home in Red Hills, St Andrew on Wednesday, January 18. .
The police are appealing to anyone who may have information that can assist investigators to call St Andrew North Police Station at 924-1435, police 119 emergency number, Crime Stop at 311 or using the Stay Alert App.
