Montego Bay, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Assault Case No Evidence Offered: A St. James man was freed of an assault charge this morning following his appearance in the St. James Parish Court.
The man, Howard Grant, was indicted for allegedly attacking the mother of his child with a piece of steel.
In an earlier court appearance, the couple was referred to mediation to try and iron out their differences, which turned out successful.
When the matter was called up before Parish Judge Sandria Wong-Small this morning, the prosecution elected to offer no further evidence against Grant and the matter came to an end.
The allegations were not read out in details but the prosecution alleged that Grant used a piece of steel to hit the woman on her left arm causing a portion of her bone to protrude.
The matter was reported to the police and Grant was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
