“Arrow Nation” and “Police” to Contest Mid-Season Final

Jamaica Sports News, Westmoreland: The “Luther Buchanan Lambs River Gold Cup Mid-Season Semi-Finals” was played yesterday at the Mt. Hermon Primary School in Westmoreland.

In the first semi-final the high riding “Platinum Strikers” were held goalless for the first time in the competition against the young “Arrow Nation” team. Arrow Nation looked more treating from the start and could have scored only to see a shot canned off the upright, both teams exchange shots and tackles, one in which saw a Platinum Strikers player being red carded. After a goalless full and extra time “Arrow Nation” held their nerve to win 6-5 on sudden death penalties to set up a clash with Police.

The second game between Police and Bronx had lots of fun and flare with Bronx having the better of play and were wasteful in front of goal, with both teams failing to score in full and extra time it went to penalties where Police came out 2-1 winners. The Finals will be played this Sunday November 11 starting at 3:30 p.m.
