A Jamaica Defence Force Reserve died at hospital on Saturday, after feeling ill at the army Newcastle Training Centre in St Andrew, on Saturday.
He has been identified as Javar Spence.
Reports are that the officer complained of feeling ill and was rushed to the University Hospital of the West Indies, where he died whilst undergoing treatment.
Following his death, the JDF announced that support and Counselling have been offered to the family and colleagues of the fallen soldier.
