Armed Robbers Shot Taxi Operator in Westmoreland

 

Westmoreland Jamaica(Mckoys News) – Armed Robbers Shot Taxi Operator in Westmoreland: A 50-year-old taxi operator who hails from Moreland Hill District in the parish of Westmoreland was shot and injured by two gunmen who attempted to rob him on Wednesday night.

Reports by the Westmoreland police are that about 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, the taxi operator was in the process of opening his gate to drive into his home when he was held at gunpoint by two armed men. The taxi operator ran and the men opened fire hitting him to his upper body. The armed robbers then escaped in the area on foot.

Residents in the area assisted the wounded taxi operator to the Sav La Mar Hospital where he was treated and admitted. The police were later summoned and on arrival, the scene was processed.
