Jamaica Crime News, Westmoreland: Several family members who reside in Top Lincoln District, Grange Hill, Westmoreland, narrowly missed being killed after a group of armed men attempted to kick off the door to their home on Wednesday morning, October 3.
The Grange Hill Police report that about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, they received a distress phone call from several family members in Top Lincoln community, that armed men were in their yard, firing a barrage of gunshots and attempting to kick off their door.
The police acted swiftly and drove to the community, when it was reported that the armed men fled in bushes.
The police were informed that the gunmen fired several shots on the dwelling and made several attempts to kick down the front door.
Our news team also learned that several senior citizens were seen relocating from the community at daybreak on Wednesday morning.
Grange Hill has erupted in murders and shootings over the past few months.
Seven persons were shot and killed in the area within a 24 hour period in the month of May and recently, a male student was murdered in the same area.
