Jamaica Crime News, St Elizabeth: One man was shot and killed by gunmen and several others narrowly missed being shot to death, in Campbell Town, St. Elizabeth, on Sunday, March 24.
The most recent victim to be killed by gunmen has been identified as, 34-year-old Donovan Samuels, fisherman of Whitehouse district in Westmoreland and Campbell Town, in St. Elizabeth.
Reports coming from the Black River police are that about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Samuels and a group of men were at a yard at Campbell Town, playing a game of cards.
While at the location, a group of men armed with handguns ambushed them and opened fire hitting Samuels multiple times to his upper body. The gunmen then escaped on foot in the area.
The police were alerted to the scene, and upon their arrival to the location, the wounded man was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
