Jamaica News, Hanover: At least one person has been confirmed dead and two other persons in serious condition, following a motor vehicle accident, which occurred along a section of the Point main road, leading to Lucea in Hanover on Thursday evening, June 27.
The police say they are still unable to release the identities of the deceased or both injured victims.
Reports are that shortly after 2:00 p.m., the deceased was riding a motorbike along a section of the Point main road, in the vicinity of Grand Palladium Resort, when he lost control of the motorcycle, and ended up in the path of a motor car.
Both vehicles collided and the motorcycle rider died on the spot. The impact of the crash resulted in the driver of the motor car losing control, and crashed into a tree along the roadway.
Two occupants of the motor car were rushed to the Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea, while the motorcycle rider was pronounced dead.
