Another Double Murder Rocks Clarendon

Jamaica Crime News, Clarendon: The May Pen police in the parish of Clarendon, have commenced an investigation surrounding the shooting death of a pushcart vendor, and another man, along a section of Bremonty street, in Clarendon, on Tuesday morning.

The dead men have been identified as 23-year-old Sheldon Nelson, otherwise called  “Papa” vendor of Rectory road, and 20-year-old Romain Grant, otherwise called “Bigga” of Seven Road, both in May Pen.

Reports are that about 9:45 a.m., Nelson was pushing a handcart along Bremonty street, with grant walking beside him, when two men armed with handguns walked up to them and opened fire, hitting both men.

The gunmen then made their escape in the area on foot, while residents summoned the police.

Upon their arrival, both men who received multiple gunshot wounds were rushed to hospital, where they were both pronounced dead.
