Jamaica Crime News, St James: The Anchovy Police area in Anchovy, St James, has now accounted for the back to back murders of two popular promoters, whose deaths have now taken the tally to 77th and 78th murders, which have taken place in the parish of St James, since the start of the year.
The most recent killing has left a security guard on the run and he is now being sought by the St. James police in connection with the stabbing death of a popular promoter, in Roehampton district, Anchovy area on Saturday night, October 6.
Dead is Darian Gray, 25-year-old Promoter also of Roehampton community.
The police say they are unable to release the name of the accused, security guard who is presently still on the run.
Reports by the Anchovy police are that about 9:15 p.m., Gray was at a party being held Roehampton, when a dispute developed between himself and the security guard.
During the dispute, the security guard used a knife to stab Gray multiple times to the regions of his stomach.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, Gray was transported to the Cornwall Regional hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The other killing, which took place at Nigger Ground in Anchovy on September 29, saw another promoter, Judith Annabell Miller-Warren otherwise called “Cocky Tractor”, who resided in Anchovy and the USA, being shot dead by gunmen.
The murders of these two promoters have sent a chill throughout the community and have dampened the spirits of party lovers.
