Ammunition Seized in Manchester

Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: One magazine containing six live rounds of ammunition were seized in the Saw Mill community in Christiana, Manchester on Tuesday, August 7.

One man is presently been sought in connection with the seizure.

Reports by the Christiana Police are that about 8:00 a.m, a team of officers were carrying out patrols duties along a section of the Saw Mill community when they observe a Toyota Corolla motor car travelling towards them.

The Jamaica music fraternity was plunged into mourning after the passing of “Carrot” formerly of world renowned group Third World.

The police signaled the driver of the vehicle to stop, the driver disobeyed and drove away.

The police gave chase and on reaching a section of the area,  the driver lost control of the vehicle which crashed into a gully.

The driver then jumped from the car and fled the scene.  During a search of the vehicle, the lawmen stumbled upon the magazine and the ammunition.
