American Child Suspected to have Drowned at Popular Hotel in St Ann

Jamaica News, St Ann: The St Ann police have now commenced a probe into the suspected drowning of an American boy at a popular resort in the parish on Saturday, June 16, 2018.

The deceased boy has been identified as 8-year-old Antoine Bookard of Philadelphia in the United States of America.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, the 8-year-old child was in the company of other family members around the poolside at a popular resort in Runaway Bay.

Minutes later, it was discovered that the child was not seen.  His lifeless body was then discovered in the pool and was immediately removed.

Antoine was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Runaway Bay police who are now investigating say they have not detected any signs of violence.
