Alleged Hitman Charged with Several Murders

The police in the Kingston Western Division have charged an alleged hitman with Multiple murders.

The suspect has been identified as  Ethan Thompson, a 20-year-old laborer from Walker’s Avenue in Gregory Park, Portmore, St Catherine.

According to reports, Thompson was among a group of men who opened fire at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Rousseau Crescent in Kingston 5 around 3:25 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021, killing Jermaine Lawson, also known as ‘Flash,’ Mark Nation, also known as ‘Cool Face,’ and Anthony Barnett, also known as ‘Little T.’

On August 15, Thompson was shot and injured in the St Andrew South Police Division. He presented his identity as Andre Thompson of a Spanish Town Road (McKoy Lane) address in Kingston 13 when he arrived at the hospital. Investigators were led to the hospital by early intelligence, where Thompson was placed under police guard.

He was then put on an identification parade and pointed out.

Detectives from the Major Investigations Division (MID) charged him on September 1 after an interview.

Three counts of murder and illegal firearm possession have been filed against him.

Thompson is scheduled to appear in St Andrew Parish Court on September 16 to answer the charges leveled against him.

Detectives from the Kingston Western division also charged him with murder and illegal possession of a firearm, in the shooting death of Patrick Dixon on Lincoln Road in Kingston, on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

According to reports, Dixon was standing on the road when armed men jumped out of a car and opened fire, hitting him.

The court date for this case has not yet been determined.

Detectives from various divisions are now working together to investigate other homicides where Thompson may have been involved.
