Alleged Gunmen – Three of Four men Killed by Police in Portmore Identified

Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: The Independent Commission of Investigation and the Portmore Police say they have now identified three of the four alleged gunmen who were fatally shot by the police, during an alleged gunbattle in Old Braeton in Portmore on Friday afternoon, June 1, 2018.

They have been identified as, Jerome Noble, otherwise called “Ricky” of a Waterloo Road in St Andrew and a Westmoreland address, also Damion Bailey, otherwise called “Troy” and Shaquille Brown, otherwise called “Shack” both of Iron River in St Andrew.

The fourth man still remains unidentified.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 5:00 p.m., the police acted upon information received, that armed men were spotted in a premises at Old Braeton and went to investigate.

The police further stated that, upon reaching the location, they came under heavy gunfire from a group of men in the yard. They took evasive action and returned the fire.

A heated gunfire ensued and  Bailey, Noble and Brown were shot and killed during the gunbattle.

Following a search of the premises three of the men were found clutching the three illegal firearms.
