A 25-year-old District Constable today killed the grandmother of his alleged gay lover and then turned the gun on himself after a heated argument developed between the two of them at the Islington Police Station in St. Mary, on Sunday afternoon, December 9.
Both deceased have been identified as Toyan Ormsby, District Constable of Islington district and 62-year-old Dawnette Maxwell.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, while on the compound, District Constable Ormsby and Maxwell got into an argument.
Ormsby pulled his service revolver and opened fire, shooting Maxwell multiple times to her upper body.
He then turned the weapon on himself and shot himself. Both victims died on the spot.
The St Mary police are now Investigating.
